Overview

STA Pharmaceuticals is constructing a new Greenfield CDMO facility to manufacture finished drug products in Middletown, Delaware.

To support the project execution and new site management, we are seeking an experienced facility site leader for directing site admin and services to ensure a well business operation in Middletown site. As an ideal candidate, you will have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills will help us establish effective and reliable site operation team.

This position will be part of site leadership team and reports to site head of STA DP Middletown.  

Responsibilities

  • Manage and initiate, at site establish phase, 3rd party services for site office supplies, workspaces, transportation, facility cleaning and housekeeping, security, catering, and other site services.
  • Manage and maintain communications with external partners, officers, government departments and stakeholders on but not limited to respective permits, licenses and certificates.
  • Demonstrate Safety First through own proactive action/ commitment across business area and expect and coach subordinate to do likewise. Partner with site EHS lead and ensure conformance to EHS expectations on performance (including fire safety).
  • Manage the site administrative services function to support site team. Ensure a smooth and effective admin operation during the site establish phase and site operation phase.
  • Manage and exposure to senior level of management team and coordinate site level of events.

Management and organization

  • Develop and coach employees’ capabilities to meet business needs (technical and managerial).
  • Manage resources accordingly to site priorities & anticipate future service needs.
  • Manage by the company values of Integrity, Excellence and Respect for People.
  • Manage and contribute to the global STA team for business support.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture across site (strive for excellence).
  • Have external focus, benchmark best practices across network and outside of it.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree, with more than 6 years of experience in a manufacturing site operation.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and R&D operation is required.
  • Collaborations with environmental health & safety teams in support of site operational compliance.
  • Strength in handling with local codes and regulations while maintaining international standards.
  • Strong teamwork spirit.
  • Highly self-motivated individual with minimum guidance. 
  • Strong communication and partnering skills.
  • Languages: English
  • Chinese: preferred but not required
